Welcome to Float World

When you arrive for your first floatation session we recommend that you arrive 10-15 minutes before your appointment time, so you can sign-arrive, tour the facilities and shower before your session starts.

Our staff are happy to answer any questions before your floatation session. Below we explain the process and what to expect when you visit Float World.

01

Once you have signed in, a member of our team will show you all of the facilities inside your float room and float cabin.

Once inside fresh treatment water will line the bottom of the float cabin in preparation for your float session.

02

All of our float rooms are fitted with internal locks for your own peace of mind during your treatment.

03

With every float session, you are supplied with a complimentary float kit containing everything you need during your float.

04

Your float kit contains earplugs to stop any salt getting in your ears.

05

Before entering the float cabin please remove any jewellery to avoid corrosion from the salts.

06

Remove any make up before you start your session.

07

Use vaseline to cover any cuts or grazes which will sting if the salt water finds them.

08

We supply all of our customers with shampoo, shower gel and conditioner. So there is no need to bring your own.

09

We ask that you have a shower before you enter the float cabin.

The water on your skin allows for the session to be more relaxing and wet hair seems to respond better to the salt water than dry.

10

Once you’re ready, it’s time to enter the float cabin.

11

It’s important to know where the water bottle and cloth are – these are provided just in case you get salt in your eyes or mouth.

Even those of us that have floated many times still manage it – it won’t do you any harm but can sting a little so you need to rinse your eyes or mouth as quickly as possible so you can go back to enjoying your time in the water.

12

When you feel comfortable lie back as if you were going to swim backstroke and allow the water to support you.

Your neck may feel a little strange or heavy at first because we rarely re-align our spines these days due to a lot of computer time.

Your arms are the strangest thing when floating and it may take a few tries to find a comfortable position for them.

Some like to starfish others like to put their hands on their belly, it’s totally up to you, just go with what’s most comfortable for you and try different positions.

13

During your float session, you can freely enter and exit the float cabin.

Each cabin is fitted with a dimmable light.

When you are ready to start your session you are able to dim the lights and also turn them on if required.

When your session is coming to an end the lights will gradually turn on and soft music will play.

14

After leaving the float cabin you can take a shower.

We supply all of our customers with shampoo, shower gel and conditioner. So there is no need to bring your own.

15

We also supply hair dryers in the vanity area, so you are ready to go after your treatment.

To book your float either pop in, call 0845 340 3990 or book online 24/7

If you would like to visit our facilities before your treatment please feel free to do so. At Float World we also offer plenty of FREE on-site parking for our customers.
